This mold is used to make Camembert, Brie, Cambozola; some styles of goat cheeses and other soft French cheeses It will form a hard, white crust on the cheese giving it the distinctive taste of a mold ripened cheese.
We have heard of people allergic to the mold and not the medication, and of people allergic to the medication but not the mold. All products are good for 1 year when stored correctly. Store in the Freezer!!
